Marley - ADOPTED

Update - 1/13/24

Miss Marley is starting her new year off with her new weight of 92lbs! This girl looks fantastic, thanks to foster mom Sue! Marley came to CGRR weighing 133lbs....biggest Golden we have ever gotten. We actually were not sure she was a full Golden - but as the weight has come off, she is definitely a beautiful Golden! She is doing great in her foster home, and even playing more with foster brother Riley! Thank you Sue, for taking her in and helping her to be the beauty we knew she could be!

Update- 6/24/23

We are excited to announce that Miss Marley has a foster home! We were contacted by Sue, who adopted a dog from us years ago, and that girl was at least 20lbs overweight. Sue got the weight off, and gave Ruby a great life. When she saw Marley, she decided she wanted to help this girl. It has only been a week, but Marley is doing quite well. She has an eleven-year-old golden brother to help show her the ropes. Marley is so enjoying her new environment that she does not want to let Sue out of her sight.... but she is learning and picking up on things quickly. Huge thanks to Sue, for bringing this big girl into her home. We cannot wait to see how Marley blossoms.

Marley is a Golden mix, who came from Idaho, where she was an outside dog. She will be 3 years old in October. This girl weighed 72lbs about 18 months ago, and is now 130lbs! She is the biggest Golden we have seen. Marley is very sweet, and craves human attention. No one has worked with her, so she doesn’t know much. She has a wonderful demeanor, and wants to please. Marley came in with Millie. Millie was purchased as a companion for Marley. Marley is so tolerant of Millie, and lets her jump on her, and just lays on her back while Millie tries to play. They are actually very cute together.... both happy dogs. Marley is on a high fiber diet, to help her lose weight. She needs more though. We would like to find a foster home for her, so she can get out for short walks and start to get some exercise.  She is a quiet girl, and we would love for her to know what it is to be a house dog.
