We are sad to report that Bill Britton, co-founder of CGRR and author of “The Legend of Rainbow Bridge,” passed away on December 25th, 2011. Bill joins his wife Mickie, who passed on almost 10 years ago. Many of you knew Bill and Mickie and have been supporters for many years. Bill had not been in the best of health for quite some time, and was not able to do much physical work. Bill was passionate about these dogs, however, and he was able to provide transport. He pulled many, many dogs from shelters, out of state, as well as here in Utah. Bill was known for also bringing home an extra dog or two! He had a big heart when it came to these dogs, and he wanted to help save as many as he could.
Bill had requested no services, and the family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to CGRR. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
For the many Goldens that have gone to Rainbow Bridge, it is nice to know they have Bill and Mickie watching over them again. Let them rejoice and be at peace.
